The Cycling Route

This varied cycling route, approximately 49 km long, starts at the Bergse Bossen and first takes you through the expansive Den Treek-Henschoten Estate, where you’ll immediately find yourself surrounded by tranquility, woods, and heathland. You’ll then cycle toward Soesterberg, known for its aviation history, and the route continues through Den Dolder and Zeist.

The Cycling Route
This approximately 33-kilometer cycling route starts at the Bergse Bossen and first takes you through the forests of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. From there, you gradually descend toward the Kromme Rijn area.

The bike route

This bike route, approximately 46.8 km long, starts at the Bergse Bossen and takes you toward the city of Utrecht.

 

The surroundings

Starting from a quiet, wooded area, you’ll gradually cycle into an urban landscape featuring canals, squares, and historic streets. In Utrecht, you’ll experience the atmosphere of the city center, after which you’ll leave the hustle and bustle behind and take a different route back toward Driebergen. The contrast between nature and the city makes for a varied and enjoyable bike ride.

A stroll around the village of Driebergen

The Walking Route

This walking route starts at the Bergse Bossen and takes you through the woods to the center of Driebergen. After a loop through the village and past the Beukenstein estate, you’ll return to the starting point via the woods.

 

The Area

In Driebergen, you can enjoy charming shops and a variety of dining options, such as Het Wapen van Rijsenburg for a cup of coffee or lunch. The combination of forest, village, and estate makes for a varied and relaxing walk.

This longer hiking trail starts at the Bergse Bossen and follows the outskirts of Driebergen toward the dike and the village of Langbroek. You then continue on to Doorn, after which you return to the starting point via a quiet, green route.

Along the way, you’ll enjoy a mix of forests, open countryside, and charming villages. Langbroek is known for its rural character and castles, while Doorn has a lively center with shops and restaurants. This combination makes the route varied and ideal for a longer, relaxing walk.

The Walking Route

This approximately 10-kilometer walking route starts in Driebergen and takes you on a peaceful loop through the village and the surrounding countryside. You’ll walk past residential neighborhoods and the green edges of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, eventually returning to the starting point.

 

The surroundings

Along the way, wooded paths, open fields, and rural roads alternate. The route offers peace, space, and beautiful views, making for a relaxing walk of about 2 to 2.5 hours.
